When you took it out of the shipping container, did it already look like
it had blown sparks and soot all over before? I think that would be possible
proof that he knew its condition (or that what he says is true if
it didn't seem that way -- and jiggling a ratty cord caused a short
in transport).
I don't know about the green button (George?) but the Kodak-2 viewer
I have has a ratty looking cord, esp. where it hits the
viewer (although it works, knock on bakelite).
