I didn't try exactly this, but I did try flipping over the chips. Didn't help.
But maybe if I put a piece of cover glass over the chips this would work.
Didn't think of it 'til just now. I'd have to be careful not to scratch the
chips, but I was risking that anyhow.
I've got a bigger lightbox at work that keeps cooler on the glass. Maybe
I'll try to duplicate the problem there. I'll report back if I see anything
interesting.
