Perhaps "eclipsed" was a poor choice of words on my part.

Rob continued:

I agree. But they are all more trouble than your average person seems
willing to make. Personally, I'm getting inspired by the camera hackers on
P3D to try a full frame Argus C3 slice and splice. I realize it's no
solution for most, but it might be good for me. I like the Burdlo concept,
too, and I do have a non-working Nimslo in the closet.

And more from Rob:
>Huh? Every drugstore in the area I know of carries slide film (usually
>Elitechrome 100 or Elitechrome 200). While the slide film is more
>expensive, the processing is still cheaper.<

Didn't mean to imply slide film was unavailable, just much less so than in
the past. I used to find Kodachrome at convenience and grocery stores. No
more. My local Costco has a whole aisle of print films, not a roll of
slide. I haven't been doing much shooting in the last couple years, and I
almost never shoot print film, so my price impressions may well be off
base. I've only shot one roll of Elitechrome, and I was not impressed. I
suppose I should give it at least one more chance...

I love this line.
