When I needed to replace mine I took one of
the good ones, and the <cage> to a friendly
oplthalmic technician. I found their address in
Yellow Pages, they are the people who
make lenses for eyeglasses.
He put the lens in a machine which measured its
power, and then ordered one from his wholesaler.
He then had to reduce the diameter slightly
on his grinding machine to get a good fit. It
has worked well since.
