Surface mail is really hard to judge.  I've had things arrive after one
month on the money from the States to Taiwan, Republic of China . . .
typically though it takes six to eight weeks this way.  I have had one
package arrive in six days (actually faster than air mail) and another
that took one year on the money (give or take a few days) - evidently it
really was put on that proverbial slow boat to China. :-)  I don't know
if that last one will be my record though as there are a few packages
that I'm still "waiting for" after seven years. :-)
