P3D Re: First stereo drawings

You might be able to find the original volume in a university
library, as I did at the Northewestern University library some 
10 years ago.  It was fascinating reading this and other articles 
from 150 years ago and was rather suprised that these older 
volumes were not somehow protected.  Anyone could handle them 
and make copies (as I did).
