P3D July 4th weekend

Here's another "heads up" warning regarding the network.

They are going to be re-wiring the telecom closet in the building
where calcite is located on July 4 +/- a couple of days. 

Hopefully this will be a minimal interruption (we've been pretty
lucky so far). 

At any rate, it will give everyone a chance to go out and shoot
some 3-d fireworks!

By the way - I happend to spot an ad in the local phone book for 
a shop with odds and ends, and they have in their ad...

"Oversized Two Dimensional Wood Carved Chess Boards".

This got me to thinking - why advertise a 2-D chess board (surely
more useful than a 1-D chess board, but less useful than a 
3-D board)? I might have to stop in the place and see exactly what
that is!
