I thought it was odd that a convention would be scheduled in
the Phoenix area in July, but having just returned from my
first convention I have a somewhat different perspective.
It seems that virtually none of the attendees actually have
a chance to venture out of the hotel during the event, so
it doesn't seem to matter much whether it's 50 degrees or
120 degrees outside!  Assuming the a/c doesn't fail, of
course.  ;-)
