P3D Nimslo / XA2 Underexposure

My Nimslo ( and XA2 rig) underexose often. I have learned to work around
the camera to obtain desired results. ( I should have the cameras
serviced or cells repaired but I'm procrastinating) Don't forget the
Nimslo was designed for print film use offering wide exposure latitudes.
I suspect the XA2's were designed primarily as a quality, compact print
camera without accurate metering calibrations for slide film use. Here
is how I work around these problems:
Use ND material over the cell. Place your hand over the camera to shade
the cell. Find a combination of film speed and camera ISO setting to
fool the camera's meter. ( will effect DOF)
The color red is the most reflective color in the spectrum.....sure to
underexpose the Nimslo..that's why people are often underexposed....the
presence of more red color temperature seems to be a factor.
