I also believe the Nimslo and XA2's were designed for use with the older
mercury battery types. The new alkaline replacements may have different
voltage and depletion curves that affect metering accuracy. In fact,
this seems more plausible than a bad photo cell causing underexposure.
Perhaps one of the list experts can comment? Thanks.        Mark Dottle
