Alarm bells start ringing.... The original broadcast will be in
field-sequential 3D NTSC and conversion will be necessary to record it in
field-sequential 3D PAL.

Unfortunately the 3D effect will be lost in the conversion from 3D NTSC
to 3D PAL - This is the case for all off-the-shelf standards converters.
But to cope with this problem I developed a standards converter which
can convert between 3D NTSC and 3D PAL while maintaining the 3D content
intact.
