P3D I'm a Kansan Now

Hi 3Ders.
We made it to Lawrence and are trying to extract our lives from all these
cardboard boxes! Whose bright idea was this move anyway?? ;-)
As a hedge against inbox glut, I unsubbed the lists before I left
Milwaukee, so I missed all the discussion of the "window" and most of the
frisky "art" debate over the last couple of weeks, darn it. But I enjoyed
the Bizarro cartoon that Gabriel pointed to in the last digest. Of course
part of the point of art is to continually challenge accepted ideas of
what art is. Delightfully maddening, isn't it?
I suspect I should have seen the "window" discussion - did it relate to my
questions about locating an image relative to the picture plane on a
lenticular? Just saw one direct cc from Abram K that seemed to be in a
thread that ensued, and the archives won't have it for a while. If anyone
of you saves recent digests, I'd be grateful for copies. (But don't send
anything dated before July 25 or after August 7. And warn me first!)
Seems like every time I'm offline, things get interesting. Hmm.
Must go, but here's a thought, fresh from the mind of a neo-Kansan artist.
Technical superiority and artistic superiority are often seen together,
and make a lovely couple. But they have an "open" marriage, and may
easily be found out alone, if that's the way you swing.
