P3D Assignments

This statement is argueably true concerning slide competitions IMO. "
Amazing shots are taken at amazing places" Much more effort ( and luck)
is required to take an amazing scenic in an " ordinary" place. One
assignment for our club competition this year is STEPS & STAIRS and
unfortunately I'm stuck in my home town with only the elementary school
stairs to photograph. This is a challenging assignment as it calls for
finding something interesting to photograph in a rather ordinary
setting. I cannot think of a single set of stairs in this town that
would be interesting in itself so I've got to come up with a bizzare
camera angle etc. I've gotten a few semi-interesting shots in town only
to have the shots ruined by debris, bird doo, and stains that seem to
reveal themselves wonderfully after processing! So what is next?
Travel to Cleveland? Tabletops of a Barbie playhouse? Action shots of
bus steps?
