P3D PSA Conference - Part II

In this convention I spent a lot of time and film shooting the
professional models that are hired by PSA for the event. I must
have shot at least 8 rolls of film on maybe a dozen different
models! What a blast!

>After the Sequences, I met George Themelis over at the model shoot
>and borrowed one of his RBT cameras to shoot Dana, a very beautiful
>blonde model.

Ha, ha, ha! Nice way to put it Steve! Yes, she was cute. But
there were others too! As an excuse for spending most of my
time taking pictures of these models I said this: "Where else
can you find these beautiful women who are eager to smile at
you at your request?" I am very much looking forward to these
rolls of film. There were also male models, a very funny guy
playing different roles (clown, conductor, chef...), a lady
with a traditional and very colorful Slovakian dress and others!
I tried my two RBTs and I hope to get a few good pictures. I
used the X4 w/the zooms at the 70 mm range for portraits and the
S1 for full-body shots and close-ups.

>It was my first time using an RBT and shooting a model, so it was
>fun. Now if I can only get the film back from George!

Will see... :-) I cannot promise anything... :-)

As if these models were not enough, the sound of a drum caught my
attention on Sunday morning. I looked out from my window and saw
a traditional Indian (from India) wedding taking place in the
parking lot. I rushed to get dressed, grabbed my S1 and stormed
out of the room. I was down on time to record some very interesting
action shots of the relatives and guests, drummer, and groom on
a virgin donkey (I was told) dancing and having a great time.
Lots of colors in their traditional outfits... Quite an experience
for me and a set of very pictures (I hope!) I was expecting lots of
PSA attendees to follow my lead but most of them had already left or
were getting ready for a bus tour.

My family came and joined me on Saturday afternoon. We went to
the Exhibition in downtown Toronto for a few night shots and
fun for the kids. Finally, we left Toronto on Sunday to spend
a few good hours around Niagara Falls. I just counted and I have
18 rolls of stereo pictures. Pretty good for a long weekend!
I also have a disk with 30 or so images from my Sony digital
camera. I don't count these as real pictures :-) but they sure
make my newsletter editing job a lot easier!

This was a fantastic way to close our summer vacation. I am now
looking forward to 1) the rolls to come back from processing,
2) Cleveland stereo club meeting (tomorrow!), 3) Detroit stereo
club meeting (Wednesday), and a long season of stereo viewing,
projecting, mounting, competing in club and PSA level, photo-3d
chat, and more!
