And with good reason! I used Syquest to back up a huge volume of important
work. Six months later every one of the disks was unreadable and six years
of my life was flushed down the toilet. My service bureau told me (after
the fact, unfortunately) that they had experienced a nearly 90% crash rate
on the Syquest disks and their clients had lost hundreds of thousands of
dollars of work stored on them!
