P3D Twinning

I am interested in twining a pair of Nikon N50's If I modify an electronic cable
release I can get them to fire together. If I assume that the matrix meter and
autofocus are the same for both cameras (big assumption). I would still need to
figure a way for camera #2 to properly expose when #1 has a flash attached. Would
anyone have any info on how to sync the above pair. BTW my rational for N50's are
they are cheap nikon autos and I already own one set of lenses. Also N50's used
are not terribly pricey. Auto flash and focus are my biggest concerns as I cant
figure a way to link the manual focusing without a major machine shop.
