P3D Re: Twin rig

Another contribution to the twin rig comparison.

I have recently started using a twin rig of Nikon F90X's connected with
Nikon MC-23 connecting cord, which allows simultaneous release of the
electronically controlled shutters.
Also available for the Nikon F100. Apparently, this set up was used in
the film The Matrix, with 20 or so Nikons linked to create some of the
special effects.

Using matching pairs of any of the Nikkor D-type lenses allows the
cameras to be set to whichever programme is desired - programmed
auto/shutter priority/aperture priority or manual combined with either
matrix/centre weighted or spot metering and by operating the master
camera the connecting cord ensures that the slave camera produces a
simultaneous match.

The pair do weigh a bit (but I'm 238 pounds so its all relative) and I
have been using them on a Slik multiarm on a Slik monopod.
