Thanks! I sort of figured it was for a different reason in
each case.
There is this idea in the back of my mind of doing a series
of shots for crosseyed freeviewing projection. I've tried
this and it does work for me, with the miniaturization.
The next step is to start doubling up, making "in camera
dupes" of scenes I think will be good candidates. Then I
can do some test slide showings and see how people take
to it. I'm not 100% sold on the idea--it means only very
small groups of people at best, and they will all have to
be able to do crosseyed freeviwing and be comfortable with
it for a dozen or so slides anyway. This is most likely
going to be kids--I have a hunch that those in my class,
who are able to see stereo by their age (8-10), and have
highly adaptable eyes, will do well. They've been enjoying
slides in a viewer, and look forward to the "slide for the day."
Whatever disadvantages it has, it will be easy to do in
a dimly-lit room during the day, and won't require glasses.
