Dr T,

My lab equipment cost around $200,000, but my company gets a special
deal from Fuji by bying 250 sets or so at a time. :)

Seriously, I can print scanned photos on my Epson Stylus Photo 700 which
I bought at Buy.com for around $150 new. With the software packaged in
it, or Photoshop, one has more control over the printing than any
mini-lab! And you don't need negative film. You can scan right from
you slide film. (I don't know about scanning from Realist size though)
The problem is that while photo quality ink jet prints look great, they
are not yet as long lasting as silver based prints. Now a dye sub
printed is another matter, but they're much more expensive.

Has anyone tried printing stereo card pairs from a computer printer? I
just got mine and haven't done much with it yet.
