P3D Personal Anniversary (Barely stereo related)

Thirty three years ago today, on 15 Sep 1966) ,after severely misjudging
a S curve with a big bump in the middle of it I put a year old Mustang
upside down in a 20 foot deep gully while racing in The Taubensuhl
Hillclimb in Germany. The car came to rest leaning against a tree. Not
fully realizing just how screwed up I was I released my seatbelt and fell
on my head causing a slight injury to my neck (In addition to a big
injury to my pride) The hurt neck and a scrape on my left ankle was all
I got out of the wreck, but the 1965 Mustang was totalled. I still get a
stiff neck every time I see a 1965 Mustang Fastback.
What does this have to do with Photo 3-D? Not a lot really. However, my
friend Bill Patterson converted a picture of me racing the came car, made
a month before the wreck, from a mono picture to a very successful
stereo image.. The next step was to send the file to another friend Dick
Twiichell. He has an ALPS printer that makes almost photo quality
prints. I used this prints as the Then and used a stereo card of me with
my 1999 Mustang as the Now and put the pair in a SSA Speedy folio as a
Then and Now. Then and Nows are one of my favorite stereo subjects and
sometimes it is necessary to go to extra lengths to have one that makes
sense.
