P3D Making Things Easier?

Mr. Shields I must say you are a perplexing individual. :-) I believe
your ideas to share stereo in a cheaper and easier way may be easy for
you, but your audience is paying the price. If you want to teach a kid
to ride a bike, wouldn't it be alot easier for you to remove the
training wheels ( and save $) and send the kid down a steep hill? (
because peddling is more difficult) After all, riding a bike is a simple
skill to learn at all age levels right? Well......you will kill your
children's interest in stereo just as you would kill the kid on the
bicycle. Too dramatic? I don't think so. Easy viewing, comfortable
projection, using proper " audience friendly" gear is the way to
cultivate interest......THEN diversify their stereo knowledge as they
quest for more. Freeviewing will chase many away, especially if they
have not seen 5p,7p,8p images, polarized projection, anaglyph, stereo
cards etc etc. You are an educator and I am from the position that you
should teach these kids the many facets of stereo, and not simply
circulate a viewmaster and call it professional stereo ( I like and
respect this format BTW)
I'm sure there are many folks in the stereo community who would be able
to provide programs for your student's learning and enjoyment.

BTW...why wouldn't the yearbook simply be priced to include the print
viewers? Your staff needs some marketing lessons from Dr. T :-)
