There's a review on 35mm slide scanning at...

	http://www.abstractconcreteworks.com/essays/scanning/Backlighter.htm

which talks about making an HP-like slide scanning adapter (the pyramid
thingie). The base of this thing is 2x4 inches which would be the size
of two 2x2 slides. I was wondering if you could make the base the size
of a double Realist slide (41x202cm?). That way you could scan the
entire slide and cut&paste the images to whatever you needed.

I've also been wanting to evaluate the Acerscan 620 (S/P/U)T scanner
(S=scsi, P=parallel, U=usb and T=transparency) with the built in
transparency adapter. That is supposed to be able to scan slides and
negatives with no external adapters. The parallel port version of this
scanner can be found for around 125.00. See...

If anyone has tried this scanner, I would sure like to hear about it.
