Thank you for your insight Greg.  It was not my contention that 
one should use a viewer anyway.  I asked the question "why should 
one freeview if a viewer is nearby?"  You gave a good reason,
considering your eye situation.  So the question I have now is 
how many people share the same eye condition that you have and for 
what other situations freeviewing has an advantage?
