P3D Re: Viewing with vs. without lenses

I have an astigmatism. Without my glasses, everything blurs, regardless
of distance. I can cross eye view in pseudo (with glasses)... but I have
never been able to parallel view (with glasses). Pseudo is still pretty
useful when searching out views at antique shows.
The new View Master Virtual viewer looks cool, but does not help me,
since my glasses get in the way. The older viewers are no different.
Most antique viewers will not allow my glasses to get close enough to
the lenses. The hood gets in the way.
I tried contact lenses, but they didn't work out, for me.
Is someone keeping track of all this? I'd really like to see if there
are common problems for people with similar "ocular conditions."
I had a solution for the antique viewers, a friction fit lens holder
using the lenses from an old pair of glasses. But... I have no ideas for
correcting my vision with the View Masters. I just can't get my eyes close
enough to the viewers' lenses.
