P3D question for new people only

Mary Ann Sell asked me if I would host a little get-together for
first-timers at the NSA convention in Mesa. Some of you on P3D were
newcomers in Green Bay or in Richmond, and I'd like to hear your
opinions on the following topics. You can reply to the list, but you
can also send me mail directly at tmd@xxxxxxxxxxx if you like.
Although the experiences and opinions of the more experienced
attendees are valuable, I think it's easy to forget that first
initial impression, and to replace those memories once you gain some
experience. So I'm looking for comments from the new people only.
1. Was it easy to meet people? What's the best way to make acquaintances?
2. Was it easy to figure out room hopping? What would you tell others?
3. Did you find anything about the convention confusing or non-intuitive?
4. Anything you would say about the stereo theatre or trade show?
5. If you could explain or improve one thing, what would it be?
I'd like to hear from you if Green Bay or Richmond was your first
convention. I'll use your comments to tailor the presentation we
make for the first time conventioneers in Mesa. I mean YOU!
I must say, my second NSA convention was much more relaxed and
pleasurable than my first. The first time, it took me a little time
to get oriented and meet people. Deep inside, I'm really shy. Very
deep. :^)
I look forward to your thoughts.
Thanks,
Tom Deering
