I visited Chris's site where his images were in the Stereoscope 
Java Applet.

I had the same frustrations here as I have had at all sites that use 
this format: it takes 5-7 minutes for a single image to load!! Is this 
normal or is there some thing wrong with my computer or set up?

I am using Win98, IE 5.0, connecting at 48800 or better. I also tried 
at work where I use NT, IE 4.0, and a T1 connection. It doesn't 
seem to matter what the connection speed is, it is just as slow.
