Who says art is created with a specific intent? An obvious message....a
deeper meaning? Sorry I don't get it.......next painting please! Look,
I've stumbled with my Realist taking accidental shots and double
exposures that turned out pretty cool......I've recorded guitar tracks
and played them back only to hear awesome passages that I am not capable
of playing. Is it genius? .......sure, that was my intention all along.
:-) I've always equated art with talent........not with an intention or
message. If anyone can throw an egg at a wall and frame it, frankly I
don't give a damn if your "intention" was to symbolize the fragility of
mankind, or your protest of cholesterol.....the thought and the action
require no talent....thus it's not art in my book. Anyone can wrap the
dog in foil.....it's not art and the message is clear. " Somebody please
pay attention to me"
Despite my hatred for most modern art, we need to embrace and accept art
and our inalienable right to walk up to any art piece and say "
man....what garbage....that really really is terrible" !!   Art is
freedom.
