P3D loreo-argus splitters etc.

-A list member contacted me about one of my previous postings: he wasn't
able to find the new home-site of RMM: I gave the new link but couldn't find
any more the page about Loreo-Argus modifications (how to dismantle the cam
& blacken useless reflecting surfaces). My opinon remains that Loreo is just
a handy toy & it isn't worth the job.

-Russian splitters: skf-1 use 1st surface mirrors; nevertheless mine are
JUNK: I bought a couple at $15 each, & they aren't worth more. They were
designed for 58 mm Helios lenses equipping Zenit cameras, so they won't work
on lenses shorter than 55mm. The lens coupling rings are made with dreadful
quality alloy, so they tend to stick & to capture the front part of lens
barrel when unscrewed. They can be convenient in Europe, where they (and
Zenit cameras) are really cheap.
Skf-1 can be transformed in viewers by an accessory supplied in the outfit,
so can be useful as viewers: I own a chinese "stereo-world" splitter whose
viewer is more expensive than SKF-1, so I used SKF1 as viewers until I got
my actual Stitz. The main problem SKF1s give is inner reflection, I think
this problem can be overcome by dismonting front and back protection
glasses.
