But articles are a form of art; they are works made up of words instead of
paint, emulsion, or clay. They provide information, entertainment, and can
be thought-provoking among other things. So, like any form of art, articles
are subjectional. What is interesting to you may not be interesting to me.
You may be criticizing what some people are enjoying. IMHO, a good Editor is
one that fills their publication with a variety of information, whether they
personally find it interesting or not. This is where talking with
subscribers or using a survey form occasionally, will give an Editor an idea
of what people are looking for. And most importantly, if you are not happy
with a publication, contact the Editor directly to give them your feedback;
don't expect them to subscribe to every Internet list where complaints and
critiques are made. The contact for every Editor I know of is listed
somewhere in their publication, usually in the front.
BTW, I could use a few articles for my publications. Up to the task anyone?
Sincerely,
Andrea S. Blair
