I use Reel 3D slip-in cardboard mounts in the 7P format.
More often than not I need to take a fair amount of time coaxing the chips
into the mounts. Sometimes when I have a particular problem, I'll take a
scrap piece of film slip in along the sides and bottom of the mount to coax
it open a little more. Once in a great while, the film chip slips right in
without any hesistation.
I found disposable surgical gloves to be absolutely necessary in handling
the film chips.
I might try heat seal cardboard mounts the next time I need to re-order.
By the way, I'm using a $10 paper trimmer made by Fiskars. I get very neat
right-angles in my film cuts. The disadvantage of the Fiskars trimmer is
that it is medium brown or gray, and it can be difficult to see the
emulsion, but with a little extra bright light, I have had good success
cutting stereo film chips between the frames
