I bought a few Nimslo/Nishika-sized mounts to experiment with when I
acquired a Nishika a while back. For this purpose I can't really complain,
especially considering their cost, but I would never consider using them for
presentation-quality work. Besides offering no possibility of adjusting the
window (obviously), they shed "paper dust" all over the place, which seems
inevitably to end up on the film.
Also, I don't know how common this particular problem is, but one of the
small batch I bought had a rather sharp piece of hardened glue sticking
out invisibly into the film chip slot, so that it made a deep scratch in
the emulsion when I slid in the chip. Yet another one from this batch
had been malformed such that the slot was glued shut. There was no way
to remedy this without destroying the mount.
Since these are production QC problems, your mileage, of course, may vary.
