For what it's worth, that's been my personal experience as well,
particularly with the faster speeds, K200 being the worst of the lot.

Again, FWIW, the collective wisdom on the Usenet's "rec. photo"
newsgroups seems to be that Kodachrome has a greenish cast when it's
young, being neutral in its prime and progressing towards a magenta cast
when it's past its prime. Since slide film these days is a slow seller
in general, and Kodachrome probably more so in particular because of the
scarcity of processing compared with E6 films, it may be more and more
uncommon to find "unaged" Kodachrome at your average camera store (sheer
speculation on my part).

In any event, differences in age and storage conditions of "amateur"
(i.e. non-refrigerated) Kodachrome may account for the variability of
people's experiences with this emulsion to a greater degree than any
other, more subjective, factors. (Certainly comparing two slides
side-by-side on a 5000 degree Kelvin light table, I can tell a magenta
cast from a greenish one, regardless of what I've eaten recently, or the
time of day.)
