P3D One-size fits all?

I understand that we currently only have one type of Realist sized mounts
available, while in them olden days, the Realist folks issued at least three
types of frames:  Close ups, Medium focal length and Regular.

I assume that the RBTs and Spicers and the likes are of the "Normal"
variety?

I also suppose that you stereo heads are not merely taking "normal"
pictures?  I am puzzled and appreciate your comments!
