No, you don't understand this very well...

1. Today we have a much larger variety of window openings in the
standard 41x101mm stereo mounts. RBT has 5 types (33mm or 8p,
31.5mm, 28mm or 7p, 21mm or 5p, 16mm or 4p), Albion has 3 types
(7p, 5p, 4p), Spicer has 8 types (31.5mm, 7p, 7p reduced height,
7p close-up, 5p, 5p reduced height, 5p close up, 4p)

2. If you are only interested in Realist size (5p) and smaller
then RBT and Albion have the 5p and 4p (4p can be considered an
ultra close-up version of the 5p mount... however all 5p mounts
are not full-height, but reduced height, to work with Nimslo
chips). Spicer is the big leader size-wise with 5 different
types in this area. What we are missing are the Medium and the
full-height ultra close-ups.

3. These sizes have nothing to do with focal length! The
purpose that they serve is that they allow you to crop slides
and have more freedom in composition and in placing the stereo
window. This is important especially with close ups.

"Normal" as opposed to what? Close-ups? Long/Short focal
length? Hyper/hypo stereos?
