P3D Re: FED BOY any good?

Boy! (Heh, heh!) I wish I knew the answer to that one! I have a FED,
and it's a love-hate thing. My #1 wish is for reliable film advance.
The best I can say is that the FED BOY is better, but by how much
varies widely with the individual camera.

With the FED BOY you _will_ get two things, though:

1. It uses standard silver oxide batteries, so you won't have a 
problem finding the right one or having the meter miscalibrated
from the get-go.

2. It gives you B at f/5.6 instead of f/2.8. (Other FED's have also
claimed to have B at f/5.6, but some have been proved _not_ to.)

Steve Berezin gave the best deal on these cameras--money-back 
guarantee and reasonable prices. But he can't get them anymore.
Nobody else I know of in the U.S. has them either.

Some of them have gone from these three guys on eBay for around
$130. They've been around awhile and their feedback looks O.K.,
but I'm not sure what they would do if the camera didn't work right.
You could e-mail them and ask.

I'm asking myself the question... do I want to take the risk to get
one for $130.....
