For those who wonder who Seton Rochwite is, he is the inventor
of the Stereo Realist.  

He approached the David White company for an interview and
showed them a prototype of a stereo camera he had made.  The
company executive who interviewed him liked the idea and asked
him to work on a proposal.  Seton was hired by David White and
he developed the Stereo Realist camera, viewer and the the
Realist logo.  He left David White just when the camera was
introduced in the marketplace.  

Seton also was the first to use the 41x101 mm stereo mount by
cutting in half existing glass plates.  He has been criticized
for both the choice of the mount and the design of the Stereo
Realist (left hand shutter release, etc.) but both became
universally accepted and the Stereo Realist is the best-selling
stereo camera of all times.  

Seton worked on other stereo projects like the Life-Like viewer,
Kindar stereo camera, etc.  He and his wife were active members
of PSA and entered the Salons with great success.

His wife passed away a few years ago and today Seton, in
advanced age, is living in relative isolation.  He does not have
email, that's for sure! :-)
