This brings up ignorance on my part. I have always wondered, why the
curved mounts? The only reason I can come up with, is that by curving
the mount, the view will be in focus from top to bottom. But what about
side to side? Maybe it helps reduce glare to a smaller area?
Also, I have dozens of views in my collection which are colored and
photographic. Since you had to ask the seller whether they are black and
white or colored, I assume there were no pictures. So how can you be so
sure they are crude reproductions? I would have probably told the seller
that they may be misinformed, rather than totally ignorant. :-)
