[photo-3d] "Free" Belplasca lens caps

With the recent posts about using film can caps for various
things... A while back, I discovered that some black Kodak
caps were almost a perfect fit for use as Belplasca lens caps.
Normally they are a tad too loose, but you can burnish the thin
inner "seal" toward the center with your fingernail and then they
fit just right. Cheap enough to replace if they get lost. Just
remember to take 'em off before shooting. :-)

Some time ago, someone helpfully mentioned that by cutting
pin bars in half, RBT mounts could be used in a "non-float"
mode but correct for minor rotational errors. I haven't tried this
yet, but am wondering if anyone regularly uses this technique
and with what degree of success.
