  Sorry you have so many problems to my "home and
native land".

  The 6 weeks for USPS is a worst case number. Usually
surface parcels get to me, from the US, in about 1.5
weeks. Airmail shortens that to about a week. (Same deal
on stuff I've mailed from Canada to the US).

  You could make the insurance the buyer's responsibility.
So if they want it then then ship UPS and they pay the
brokerage fee. If they want to go without insurance then
use surface or airmail.  You may also be able to get some
nominal insurance by registering the mail (works that was
in Canada) plus you can get a signature sent back to you
for a small fee (again that's how it works here).
