[photo-3d] Zoom projector lenses???

I have a question regarding zoom lenses for stereo
projection.  Is that a good idea?  I used to be skeptical
about using zoom lenses in a stereo projector.  But I have
heard good things from Ron Labbe and Elliott
Swanson.  For one, you don't need to worry about
matching lenses.  Second, you have the flexibility of
zooming to fill the screen, instead of moving the
projection stand/screen around.

Any comments?
