Peter,
There is a third application which is what most of the recent discussion has
been about. There are stereo twin releases designed specifically to twin two
35MM manual cameras. The are the same length, and are adjustable to ensure a
synchronized firing of the two cameras. I have used these in the past and
been very pleased with the results. I am in the process - barring another
money draining emergency - of trying to (once again) build such a system.
That is why I started the latest set of discussions on P3D. Finding these
twin releases is fairly hard in the "real" world, but thanks to our
dedicated 3D re-seller friends, they can be purchased while supplies last.
