[photo-3d] Buying and Selling Online

Not to beat this subject to death. I know I can order with confidence
from a number of people on this list. One who comes to mind is that
DrT character I met at NSA last year. I was introduced to him by my
stereo mentor from Dayton,Ohio who knew most of the 3d folks from
previous NSAs. Jon Golden, Paul Talbot, Klaas Morcut are all people
whom have been on the up and up here online.
I am not new to the world of electronic buying. Many years before
the internet, I would buy electronic gear from other ham operators and
always came away with a sense of dealing with and honest crowd. I am not
quite so sure about the ham community anymore as it too has changed over
the years. But needless to say I met some very nice people who were honest
in business dealings with me. I have had a very good ride with the 3d
bunch so far. Ebay.... welll not so good. I did have a good transaction
with a chap I bought a power amp from. He was straight up with me about
both the condition and shipping. He even sent me the money back he did not
use to ship the thing to me with. Steve Prusky was his name, from Bala PA.
Good fellow.
On the other hand, the other guy that was less than truthfull told me
that he was going to "forever end" my chances of doing business on Ebay
because he would make sure I got plenty of bad notices from him. SO..
all I can tell you is that if you look me up and see who left the bad
remarks about me, you will know who the guy is. Of course, if you ask
George Themelis he will say all sorts of stuff...... (JUST JOKING!!!)
Really, I like this bunch and I appreciate the honesty here. I think
Ebay could learn from this group.
Thanks for listening and reading this. Yeah, I will still be looking
at the stereo camera section of Ebay, but I think I would rather buy
my next stereo camera at the next NSA I attend. More fun there anyway.
