I don't think it's a minor point at all - I stand corrected - any size
discrepancy caused by this method can't be entirely fixed by changing the
size of the image.  I've been pleased with the pairs I've been getting, and
have even projected some slides successfully, but I don't tend to shoot any
closer than 8 feet.  Before this I used the twin XR-10Ms only for scenics
and saved my Nimslo for shots involving people and distances less than 12
feet.  I've been thinking of getting a pair of 28 - 70 zoom lenses for the
Ricohs.  I don't know if I would be able to adjust one lens precisely enough
to compensate for the 2 1/4 inch displacement, but if I could would the
resulting pairs match? I think I'll get back to work on my plan to mount one
of the cameras upside down.
