Why not use a Realist?
I've been thinking of getting a pair of 28 - 70 zoom lenses for the

No, for precisely the same reason as stated above.
I think I'll get back to work on my plan to mount one

My experience is that no one system will work for every kind of shooting
situation. Most of my shooting is done with medium and large format twinned
cameras and although I can get as close as 4" with the medium format TLR's,
I very seldom put them that close for landscape work. On the other hand, for
people I don't think there is anything that will beat a stereo camera
(either Realist or RBT (too bad I don't have the latter)).
