Linda, were you assuming no modification of the viewer
when you came up with those numbers?

What would be a reasonable maximum vertical opening, in
your opinion?  Would one be better off keeping the size
to somewhere in the 28-33 mm range?  Most people don't use
more than 31.5mm for their full frame horizontal stereo
shots.

Could you explain why you think it needs to be taller?

It is true that some of the thumb hold area could stick
up out of the viewer and still be usable.

Here is what I have for one carrier: roughly 25x25mm.  I
know some people widen their carrier apertures, but I
don't see a lot of room for vertical enlargement.

There are a lot of different sizes of aperture openings
in TDC carriers.  Does someone have a comprehensive list?

I recently saw a TDC carrier that had two openings that
looked to be roughly square, but large enough to handle
full frame horizontally and vertically.  How common is
that carrier?
