Not if you get it from the right place. Is there a Price/Costco near
you? They sell five roll boxes of 100 ASA 36 exposure for $17.99.
B&H (big mail order company in NY) sells 36 exposure rolls of 100 ASA
for $4.29 for US and $3.19 for Import. The Import stuff is grey
market and you take your chances on where it has been.

Fritz Brown on this list has posted several times about reverse
processing B&W negative film (check the archives). The main problem
is that most of the better films for this are on a film base that
depolarizes light. That means that you can not project them unless
you have a projector with the polarizing filters after the film.
I do not know from experience, but I have been told that Agfa Scala
is very prone to fading when projected. It also has a strange cast
for my tastes.
That's all for now,
