[photo-3d] Velvia

I shoot tons of Velvia through my X4 and 3 or 4 Realists and here's the
deal. At ISO 64, the images look great through a bright illuminated
viewer ( like a Themelized Red Button etc) but the images do NOT project
well.....too dark.
At ISO 40 most images are balanced for both viewer ( including
steal-the-light types) and projection, however the images wil likely
develop hot spots that are enough to ruin an otherwise " perfect"
exposure. If you stay with ISO 50, and add slight exposure if the
metering is questionable, or the meter is in between....the results are
optimal.
A cheapie SV1 viewer ( recently my favorite viewer for all types of
testing....density, stereo window, previewing for projection etc) will
tell the tale. View the image under normal daylight using an SV1, DO NOT
point the viewer toward a bright light source. This is a very good
representation of how your slides will look projected.
