It definitely works - however there is a small caviet.
In addition to the jps extension, there is also an optional for placing
a tag in the jps file which defines which type of jps the file is.
The default is cross-eyed stereopair but the standard also allows for
wall-eyed, interleaved, over-under & anaglyph images too.
If the tag is missing, the software may give you a warning and then
assume the image is in the default mode - cross-eyed stereopair.
VREX made a free program available which adds the tag to a jps file
"fixjps.exe". You may still be able to find it.
More information on the jps standard is available from the Stereoscopic
Displays and Applications conference website in the standards area:
http://www.stereoscopic.org/standard
Regarding (Stereo Image Factory) SIF vs. Photoshop - is it possible to
generate a JPS with Photoshop but in SIF, the alignment and cropping
proceedure is significantly easier.
Cheers,
Andrew.
