Well, I'm rolling in the aisle!

First of all, don't get to upset about abuse of the term "3D." In the
last few decades, this has become meaningless; it no longer means
"stereoscopic" in the public mind, it has almost no meaning at all
beyond, maybe, "the tops" "the pips" "the cat's pajamas." If you want
to talk about three-dimensional imaging, use a term such as
"stereoscopic;" that has so many syllables it will never be pirated by
the melonheads. But you can't take back "3D." Too late, friends. Words
are defined by usage, not righteousness. You can still use it in
context, but it has acquired other contextual meanings beyond our
control.

As for jittervision, pogoscope, visidep, wobbly-bobbly; well, I'll have
more to say about that in a couple days. For now, I am larfing
uncontrollably. This is a technique tried and discarded long ago; all it
shows is the utter truth of evolution. (Of academic interest, of course,
but with little practical value.) Depth perception in animals (including
homo sapiens) is many-threaded, one shouldn't have tunnel vision about
stereopsis.

In the meantime, I'm passing out, got work in the morning, more later...

See you in Mesa
