So far I have built 6 MF cameras, I am still not satisfied- I guess I am
zxpecting too much as I use the Rolleidoscope most of the time But I had
to make a decent view finder for it, also I had to make filter friendly as I
use filters 90% of the time, I also changed the f stop so that it reads f8,
f11,f16,f22,and f32 etc I also changed it to feet with a depth of focus
scale. These "improvements" have probably ruined its collectors value buy a
bit, but I am a user not a collector! My main gripe is that in my opinion
probably a broken reccord }is that I get much better pictures with the
Rolleidoscope camera thn my Sputnik camera and don't think the Sputnik
should be held up as an example of MF Except when comparing it with mediocre
35 mm stereo cameras which also have sharpness problems. Having taken
pictures both MF and 35mm at the same time and place I put 35mm as being not
much better than View Master With the exception being that 35mm projects
quite well and I have never seen MF projected but hear that it does quite
well also and am dissappointed that one must go to Europe to see it done.
It is to bad that NSA could not get its head out of the sand and look ahead
but it will probably skip MF and get bogged down in digital 3D! Don.
